Mentors |
|
We cannot wait until there are enough
women in these areas of the workforce to act as role models for the next
generation. Therefore, it is necessary to promote a mentorship program that
encourages older female 4-H members who have taken science related 4-H
projects to act as mentors for younger members wanting to investigate similar
areas. If you're interested in being a mentor, here's some ways to get
involved: |
|
|
§
Seek
out a member in your local club and volunteer to help her work through the
activities in her project book. §
Contact
your local 4-H Educator and volunteer to help with a 4-H afterschool
programs at local elementary schools. §
Get
involved with other 4-H opportunities that involve outreach to younger youth. |
