strong support system from parents is essential for the success of this
initiative. Here are some ways that parents can help their daughters explore
their interest in math & science through the 4-H program.

If they
are not already in 4-H, seek out a local club for them to join and get
involved. §
Encourage
them to step out of their comfort zones and try a science-related project
that they may know nothing about. §
Volunteer
to host and/or financially support a special program exclusively for girls in
math & science. §
Provide
the necessary materials, advice & emotional support, but don't do the
