To inquire about the procedures to initiate
a new Blue Key Chapter, contact

Start-up Criteria
-
Blue Key members must have at least
a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 system). They must also exhibit
exceptional campus leadership, service, and character.
-
These students shall be juniors, seniors,
or graduate students at the time of the charter.
Exceptional sophomores may be included. Males and
females should be considered for membership. Blue
Key seeks diversity in membership based on gender, race,
ethnicity, physical disability, and belief systems.
-
A new chapter must have a minimum of
eight student members. Ten or more is ideal.
-
Identify a Blue Key Advisor from the
ranks of faculty, administration, or full-time staff (student
affairs, academic affairs, or related area). The
advisor will certify the credentials of the proposed members.
-
The New Chapter Registration Fee is
$100. The chapter shall receive a Blue Key Chapter
Charter Certificate.
-
New Members shall pay a Blue Key Registration
and Lifetime Membership fee of $30 per person. It
is recommended that all membership be combined in one
check payable to Blue Key Honor Society.
-
Communicate with the Blue Key Executive
Director to clarify procedures and alternative methods
of attracting members and setting standards. Check
this website for additional information.
-
Examine the Blue Key Honor Society
Constitution on this website.
-
The Blue Key Petition for membership
is available on this website.
-
It is acceptable for a Blue Key Chapter
to set standards that exceed the credentials noted above.
